From the Perth 4WD & Adventure Show to the Variety WA Bush Bash, here’s everything you need to know on 4×4 in Perth for 2019.
When it comes to exploring the Australian outback WA is no stranger, in fact, according to Australian Geographic, WA takes first place out of 10 with the Canning Stock Route track that stretches across 1,800 km from Wiluna to Halls Creek.
We even hold third place with Gibb River Road that takes you from Kununurra to Derby across a 930 km run filled with river crossings, fresh water gorges and quintessential outback landscapes.
Whether you’re new to the 4×4 scene or are an experienced adventurer, get your pens, diaries, and calendars ready because here are some of WA’s 4WD events you must see.
Perth 4WD & Adventure Show
The event will take place at Mccallum Park on November 8 – 10 starting from 9am-6pm Fri to Sat and 9am-5pm on Sunday. For all things 4×4, this is an event that can’t be missed with special guests including:

- West Coast Eagles legend Mark LeCras
- Allan Gray – Terrain Tamer TV
- Ronny Dahl – 4-Wheeling WA
Sit back and relax at the Engel Bush Camp stage for the latest info on camping, 4WDing, fishing and demos or head over to the Camp Oven Cooking area hosted by Jo Clews and Harry Fisher (Fire to Fork) for some outbook cooking ideas.
If you have 4WD thirst to quench, take a test ride in a new vehicle on the 4WD test track that contains real-life obstacles and will demonstrate the capability of your new favourite 4WD.
ARB will also be doing a live build, fitting all accessories including bullbars, fog lights, warn winches, recovery points, intensity lighting, summit side rails, ARB linx, dual battery system, and an ARB air compressor.
Perth 4 Wheel Drive Show is a fun packed family weekend that is sure to satisfy all your outdoor cravings including fishing, camping and 4×4.

Variety WA Bash
Variety WA brings you a drive in the ‘outback with a few mates’ that starts from Geraldton in the evening on Friday 23rd of August and finishes Saturday 31st on Heirisson Island. It’s a once in a lifetime chance to experience remote and regional parts of Australia that you might not otherwise see.
Throughout the Bash, you will visit local towns, schools and organisations to visit the kids in need. The first stop will be Billabong Shell and then Gascoyne Junction, Bullara Station, Mt Augustus with the final 3 stops still a mystery.
As if you needed any more reasons to help the kids in need, participating in the Variety Bash connects you with like minded people, experience the joys of restoring your own classic car, and explore the great outback whilst fundraising at the same time.
$604,000 had been raised in 2018 for the kids in need in WA.

TBC. Rudall River Trip
Go Bush Club WA have created an expression of interest for a 12 day trip starting from Tuesday the 18th of June till Saturday the 29th of June.
The 12 day adventure takes you through the Rudall River National Park where you’ll explore Carawine Gorge, Running Waters, salt lakes, escaparmens of sandstone and quartzite, and large valleys that have been carved out by glaciers from the ice age.
Again, the same difficulty and endurance levels are required with a 4 star difficulty rating which includes hill climbs, ruts and water crossings. Recovery points recommended.
And a 3 star endurance rating which means there are no services, requiring participants to be fully self sufficient with extra water, fuel, tools, tyres and spare parts.
